The American Gourmet is the finest restaurant that serves takeout, dinner, lunch, and deli foods from Monday to Saturday. We also offer homemade goodies with sweets that tantalize the taste buds. Our bakery creates delicious homemade pies, cakes, pastries, and more. The American Gourmet is renowned for its tasty American meals and top-notch catering services in the area at 257 S US Route 1, Tequesta, Florida 33469. We are open from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and 10:30 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays. During the summer months we close at 3:00 pm on Mondays.

Dinners-On-The-Go
The American Gourmet usually has 2 or 3 main dishes available each day. Our dinners come in containers which you can reheat in the microwave. You can also remove the dinner from the container and reheat it in the oven. They’re reasonably priced and fall into the mid to high range of American cuisine. Each meal is well-balanced, with meat or fish, fresh veggies, and starch. Some examples of what we offer include Chicken Marsala, Poached Salmon, Beef Bourguignon, Almond Crusted Chicken, and Veal Parmesan. Plus, you can enjoy them for lunch or dinner.
For those customers that would like The American Gourmet to prepare a dinner for family or friends with 8 or more people, we offer Special Orders called “Dinner in Masse”. These dinners are placed in returnable Corning casserole dishes. Some customers like to impress their guests by bringing their own dishes for us to fill and garnish. You can also place a special order for just a vegetable or an entree to compliment your menu. Just give us enough notice, and your order will be ready when you need it.
Placing a take-out order is a breeze. Simply browse our online daily menu, select your items, and place a call to 561-744-1660. Dinners are available after 4:30 pm. Many times, we have sell-outs for that day’s entrée. It is advised that you place your order early to guarantee availability

The American Gourmet
Delicious Food, Family-Owned Tradition
American Gourmet is a family-owned restaurant and caterer with deep roots in Jupiter Tequesta, serving the community in the same location since 1986. Our staff is experienced, and our chef is top-notch, ensuring every dish is delicious and beautifully presented, whether it’s a dinner, appetizers, fruit and cheese trays, gift gourmet baskets, or catering for events. In our takeout section, we offer 2 or 3 high-quality dinner options daily.
About Chef Tania. Besides her early desire to be a great chef, Tania received on-the-job training at the American Gourmet from one instructor and three graduates educated at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park New York. This occurred during the first 8 years of our ownership of the restaurant. During these early years, she also gained additional on-the-job experience working summer months at the prestigious Atlantic Beach Club on Long Island. Since this initial on-the-job training and with additional training she has only perfected her creative abilities to cook exquisite meals.
If you’re hosting a party, we’ve got you covered with complete catering services for up to 100 people. Our clientele ranges from local residents to celebrities, and we cater events from surprise birthday parties to art gallery openings, serving areas from Palm Beach to Jupiter Island.
We take pride in using the best ingredients for our products. Our hors d’oeuvres are all handmade, not store-bought, and our desserts and bakery items are homemade and absolutely delicious.
